The Campus Crossroads Projects

South Bend, IN

Eighty-seven years after Knute Rockne last paced the sidelines of a brand new Notre Dame Stadium, the University of Notre Dame unveiled the Campus Crossroads Project, the largest and most ambitious building project in the university’s history. Consisting of three buildings connected to the east, west, and south facades of the iconic House that Rockne Built, the three-year project added 800,000 square feet of classroom, research, student, meeting, event, hospitality and other multipurpose space to the campus at an initial cost of nearly $500 million dollars.

When the university put the roofing contract out for bid, they knew that they needed a roofing contractor capable of providing outstanding workmanship for not just one roof type, but for low-slope, standing seam, plaza decks, and Green roofing systems. With the knowledge of Midland’s industry leadership in green roofing systems and nearly one hundred year’s experience with Midland craftsmanship as a contractor on campus, they felt secure in accepting our bid for this new centerpiece of the campus.
